Foxcroft Community Honors Alumnae Michele Lyons Kuhns ’87 and Ann Hardaway Taylor ’76

Anne Michele Lyons Kuhns ’87 was awarded The Anne Kane McGuire ’52 Distinguished Service Award, the highest possible honor to be bestowed by the Board of Trustees, for her service as first vice chair, then chair of the Board of Trustees, and now Co-Chair of the School’s $65 million Building for Our Future campaign, among so many others. Ann Hardaway Taylor ’76 was then announced as Foxcroft’s newest Sports Hall of Fame member by Cricket Bedford ‘85, Chair of Foxcroft’s Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee. A consummate horsewoman, Taylor was not only a standout rider during her time at Foxcroft but went on to be named the United States Combined Training Association’s Top Lady Rider in 1986, won the Rolex-Little River selection trial in 1987, and was named a member of the 3-day event team for the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. After much applause and cheering from the community, Kuhns and Taylor were treated to a more formal presentation of their awards during a luncheon hosted by Head of School Cathy McGehee, the Board of Trustees, and the Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
